About

London theatre Ed Currie and Andy Coxon teamed up to create AKT in 2015 spent three years researching, and developing the deodorant balm that's become the brand's trademark. The team felt that mainstream deodorants were a letdown - antiperspirants that stained clothes and gentle offerings that failed to combat odor. leading experts in fragrance and cosmetic science with exacting standards and a whole heap of creativity. The Deodorant Balm was finally born.

Clean Ingredients

AKT uses all natural ingredients such as coconut oil, shea butter, arrow root and essential oils to scent each deodorant.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT

The brand uses a combination of natural plant and mineral powders such as Diatomaceous Earth (an ancient fossilised algae) that "absorbs natural perspiration without staining clothes." Other commonly used ingredients include calendula oil for its anti-inflammatory propeties, flower extracts and essential oils. AKT deodorant is meant to be a multi-purpose tool against perspiration, the brand says. It can be used on the pits, forehead, feet. Wherever odor protection is needed.

The Deodorant Balm is packaged in aluminium tubes ideal for their durability, portability, and recyclability.  Aluminium can forever be recycled without losing any quality. But plastic caps that usually accompany aluminium tubes, can’t.  In response, we’ve created bespoke aluminium caps to prevent more plastic entering our ecosystem.
