Outdoor Provisions is any fresh air head's dream. The outdoors snack brand makes organic oat energy bars and nut butters that deliver on taste and stamina.
Founders Luke Douglas and Christian Smith birthed the idea for the brand after a tough mountain bike racing season that involved too many unsatisfying energy bars. They thought they could do better and so they did. Outdoor Provisions is made in Northern England.
Each bar is vegan and the 'chassis' or the main bulk of the bar is composed of organic sultanas, oats, dried banana and almonds to power your outdoor workout with enough carbs, unrefined sugars, proteins and healthy fats. Flavors range from organic sour cherry powder, organic roasted cocoa nibs or ground spices like ginger and cardamom.
The founder team's love of the outdoors has led to a catalog of products inspired by UK national parks like Cherry Bakewell (Peak District National Park), Choc Kendal Mint Cake (Lake District), and Bara Brith (Snowdonia).Outdoor Provisions say they use organic ingredients where possible, check each label for details.
Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (I)
Since the brand was inspired by the outdoors, the founders intend to use a percentage of profits to support people and organisations that are doing things to protect the outdoors. No data available to confirm.
Outdoor Provisions comes in 100% plastic free, compostable wrappers made from wood pulp. The aluminum layer will also break down during composting. The rest of the packaging - cardboard, tape and labels - is 100% recyclable.
