The Qi is a New York brand making floral teas from single-origin organic ingredients sourced from China
After suffering from a bout of burnout, founder Lisa Li, a former... shifted into the wellness industry. ... was inspired to create The Qi after a transformative trip in Yunnan where she discovered rose tea. "One of my earliest memories of tea is sharing some with my grandma as an 8-year-old in China, where I grew up in a coastal city within Liaoning Province," Li shares.
The Qui offers tisanes, or herbal teas, brewed using whole flowers, sourced from a single origin. Why flowers? In Eastern philosophies, flowers are the highest energy level in plant's life. Flowers are cultivated and used in teas to boost the drinker's “Qi” (or “Chi” meaning Life Energy). One difference between these tisanes and other teas is that they’re caffeine free; another is that you can eat the flowers after brewing. Flavors include Blue Locus to Royal Chrysenthemum and Shangri-La Rose. Li that brewing loose leaf tea is a ritual meant to be as nourishing and enjoyable as drinking the tea itself.
